About MWRD Employees' Credit Union

We are a not-for-profit financial institution that is owned and operated by its members.

Since 1953 we have worked to improve the future of thousands of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago employees and retirees by providing a safe place to save and borrow at competitive rates, as well as financial planning tools and education.

Our staff strives for SERVICE EXCELLENCE.

Our members are so much more to us than just account numbers — they are the owners of the credit union and the people we are privileged to serve. As member needs and available technology changes, we introduce new products, services, and education to offer the best 'banking' experience possible. No matter what your financial goals or what your stage of life, we offer each individual member the tools and knowledge to be financially successful.

Our volunteer Board of Directors is elected by and from within the membership.

Our volunteer board is made up exclusively of members like you. They are responsible for overseeing all of the credit union business. Each member, as an owner, is entitled to vote for board members each year at the credit union's annual meeting, either by casting a vote or their proxy.

We are grateful to the board for their volunteer service. If you're interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities with the credit union, please contact us.
